University in major collaboration to treat heart disease
The University of Sheffield´s Centre for Stem Cell Biology (CSCB) and the Cardiovascular Research Unit (CVRU) have joined forces with Axordia Ltd and Lombard Medical Technologies PLC to develop a next generation of treatment for coronary artery disease.

New critical care facility for Northern General Hospital
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has officially announced the go-ahead for a £21.3 million project to expand critical care facilities at the Northern General Hospital.

Sheffield First Health and Well-being Partnership
Board (Meeting to be held 10am-1pm, 26 September
07, Town Hall)
Members of the public who wish to attend the meeting should
report to the Reception Desk at the Town Hall, and you will
be taken to the meeting room.
You can see the reports to be discussed in public at the
meeting if you call at the First Stop Reception, Old Town
Hall, Pinstone Street entrance. The Reception is open between
9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday–Thursday and between 9.00am and
4.45pm on Friday. You may not be allowed to see some reports
because they contain confidential information. These items
are usually marked * on the agenda.
Sheffield First Health and Well-being Partnership meetings
are normally open to the public but sometimes members may
have to discuss an item in private. If this happens, you
will be asked to leave. Any private items are normally left
until last.
